Howler is a magazine about soccer covering the global game from the perspective of North American fans. It’s produced (and printed) in the United States by a team of editors and creative directors who have worked for magazines such as GQ, Esquire, National Geographic Adventure, ESPN, and O: The Oprah Magazine. But Howler is a completely independent project, something we make on our own time, to our own standards, and about a subject that we truly love.

Issue 03 devotes more than 40 pages to the US National Team. Luke O’Brien traveled to Rome to profile Michael Bradley. Jeff Maysh spent ten years tracking down the subject of his profile—the West Ham fan who, according to soccer myth, was pulled from the stands, sent onto the field by Harry Redknapp, and scored a goal. We also have an essay about the English and Spanish radio commentary on the greatest goal ever scored and a lot more.
