Info

Ambit is a 96-page quarterly literary and art magazine. It is created in London, published in the UK, and read internationally.

It’s available through subscription, in selected bookshops, and in libraries worldwide. Created in 1959, Ambit Magazine has had many famous poetry talents through its doors, including Carol Ann Duffy, Henry Graham, JG Ballard, Geoff Nickolson and Edwin Brock who chose and edited Ambit’s content. The founder Martin Bax once described Ambit Magazine as 'poetry, fiction and art – sometimes shocking, sometimes experimental, sometimes comic, always compelling.' Since Ambit’s re-launch last year the new editor, Briony Bax, aims to ‘engage with new and emerging talent’, whilst maintaining the compelling quality, that makes Ambit Magazine a distinctive asset to the literary field.
