Doghouse is a glossy quarterly print magazine about traditional pubs and the culture within: a love letter to bar stools, leatherette benches and fixed settles of the United Kingdom. Each issue focusses on a different town within the UK and its immediate 10/20-mile radius – discovering and celebrating history, heritage, architecture, the stories told at the bar, the mystery of the cellars below, and the ghosts that rattle around upstairs.

Issue #3 of Doghouse starts with a round of bitter and mild in Stourbridge before careering around a 10-mile radius of surrounding pubs. We match-make cheese with beer, remember Wolverhampton Wanderers beating Arsenal 5.1 in the snow, and find the pub Mad King Ludwig II of Bavaria would loved to have called his local. We also welcome regular, Douglas, who tells of ladies hairdressing, throwing grenades, and a relative who frequently carried a cart horse.
