Hop & Barley started out as a simple idea between friends, to produce a publication that accurately portrays the UK’s vibrant brewing scene. Now a burgeoning industry, it’s as diverse as it is large, with breweries young and old experimenting with their craft and, in the process, producing some truly fantastic beer. We don’t claim to be an authority figure on the subject, aiming instead to be a voice for brewers and drinkers alike. Hop & Barley is a collection of stories from all corners of the industry, curated into a beautiful, bimonthly publication.
It gives us enormous pleasure to have finally made it to print with this, Volume 1.1. We haven’t made it here alone, receiving overwhelming offers of contribution and support to our venture. We are ever thankful to our generous backers who funded this issue through Kickstarter and helped spread the word about our publication. We’d especially like to thank Andrew Beattie for his unwavering enthusiasm and excitement for the project, it means a lot.
We look forward to continue working with the beer loving community, sharing our passion as well as learning a few things along the way.
