In the launch issue of Modern Design Review we reflect on daylight with Daniel Rybakken, Arts & Crafts with Martino Gamper and ergonomics with Yrjö Kukkapuro. We think about display, new minimalism and wood. In presenting our inaugural stories we have solicited help from some great creatives and Issue 1 features contributions from exceptional designers, commentators, photographers and writers alike. We hope this first publication demonstrates a new and compelling approach to communicating the thoughts and theories behind and around modern design – welcome to Modern Design Review.
