Standart Magazine is a quarterly published print publication about the beauty of specialty coffee culture.
An ambitious environmental lawyer who had daydreams about opening his own café, Tibor decided to pursue his coffee dream and opened a small espresso bar inside a local design shop, which has since expanded. Today he is the specialty coffee ambassador in one of the best coffee shops in Budapest. Meet Tibor Varády and his Espresso Embassy.
Once a dark roast guy from Slovakia happened to be the ultimate coffee geek living in America, sourcing the finest coffee for his Green Plantation roastery and working for online training centre Boot Camp Coffee. While there, he personally experienced each new coffee wave, from drinking robusta blends to enjoying Starbucks, until he discovered his ultimate passion – specialty coffee. Valerian tells us all about how Americans shaped their coffee culture over the last several decades.
