Under/Current presents its sixth offering, 'Future Retro' which draws inspiration from the world of sci-fi, technology, space age, and the leaps of early modernism.The issue features a cover story shot by Jacob Sutton and an interview with pioneering architect Oscar Niemeyer, who shares his views on social change and his legacy of visionary buildings in Brazil. Contemporary art star John Bock muses on Utopias, absurd machines and futuristic colonies, while writer Franco Berardi gives his manifesto on post-futurism.

As part of its continuing conversation series, Under/Current brings Cory Archangel together with curator Pail Pieroni to talk about technology and our nostalgia for outdated media. Mike Mandel revisits 'Evidence', his seminal photography project with the late Larry Sultran. London-based artist Seb Patane discuss aggression, masculinity and the radical aesthetics of the avant-garde. And in the wake of Bela Tarr's " The Turin Horse", Under/Current speaks to the Hungarian director about what looks to be his final film.

Showcasing the best in fashion, Hector Castro teams up with Kira Bunse to pay homage to Comme des Garcons menwear SS12. Rising photographer Pierre Debusschere, together with under/Current's fashion director melina Nicolaide, unfolds a story based on a dark present-day panorama of turnoil. Shot in 254 Forest Studio in Brussels, the editorial has spawned a film that will premiere at under/Current's upcoming Christmas event. in addition, Ben Weller and John Colver present their third collaboration for the magazine, while Mel Bles shows up the AW 11 highlights from new York favourites Proenza Schouler.
