COLORS is a quarterly magazine about "the rest of the world" based in Treviso, Italy. Founded in 1991, it is published worldwide in five editions: Chinese/English, French/English, Italian/English, Korean/English and Spanish/English. Every issue of the magazine takes a single theme and covers it from an international perspective.
Colors 54 looks at the cruelest, funniest and strangest meals eaten around the world. Besides questions of taste and culture, we also found that food can be a major political issue (did you know that a spat between the president’s daughter and her husband led to a dearth of Coca-Cola in Uzbekistan?). Food can be big business or a weapon; a status symbol or a lifestyle. This issue takes a look at the politics, rituals and time spent eating, drinking and preparing food all over the globe.
