GBP 7.00 — Released 1 November 2014
The fourth issue of NOUS is created in editorial collaboration with MUTO collective. It is the first internationally co-curated edition in French and English.
Throughout her one year residency with MUTO, artist Stéphanie Vivier conducts research on Misunderstanding of language, in society, and in everyday interactions can be explored through Performance and Sound Art. Her research is also looking into the effects of misunderstanding on our mental health.
Together MUTO, NOUS, and Stéphanie curated The Misunderstanding Issue. We invited poets, writers, a professor, and bloggers to submit their words related to our topic. Our compendium is touching topics such as dyslexia, suicide, and social alienation due to stigmatisation. The Misunderstanding Issue is accompanied by As We Are Away mini-festival No. 2 from 20th November til 30th November 2014.
The fourth issue of NOUS was launched during Manchester Print Fair No.8 at People’s History Museum Manchester on 25th October 2014.
