There has never been a more exciting time for menswear. Around the world men’s fashion has exploded out of the closet and designers, both established and emerging are delivering impressive collections. OUT THERE STYLE is dedicated to exploring all matters sartorial but we don’t believe in one narrow definition of style. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to dress – we believe that style is all about finding a way that expresses your individuality.
In this, our inaugural issue, we take inspiration from a century of menswear starting with our luxurious celebration of the dandy in our oscar Wilde story ‘Wilde at Heart’. We then head to the American south in ‘A Wanted Man’ and take heritage to new heights in ‘SuperFly’. ‘Love Me Tender’ and ‘Streets of London’ showcases the mid-century uncoventional as does our John Bidwood homage ‘Wings of Desire’. We also pay tribute to the Eighties label ‘BodyMap’ in an exclusive conversation with two members of the original collective. But where would we be if we didn’t feature the very latest in menswear? ‘Shape and Form’ features young designer Kristian Steinberg’s ‘Brutalism’ collection and we head to South Africa to explore the ongoing Smarteez movement.
As usual we had trouble fitting everything in. Whatever your style, we hope it’s OUT THERE.
