Info

SET is a quarterly zine, which looks at the relationship between cinema and its architecture. Each issue focuses on a film affected significantly by a single set or location, with the first three issues looking at Hitchcock’s Rope (1948), Kubrick’s The Shining (1980) and Lena Dunham’s Tiny Furniture (2010).

The publication consists of a drawing of the location in question and a piece of text describing the relationship between this space and the characters, narrative and tone of the film. Working within these parameters, our writers have a chance to let their personalities and opinions on the film form part of the series. Each contributor also forms part of the ever-growing SET Collective, from which we hope to launch further ventures next year such as a special issue, collaborations with illustrators and photographers, themed launch nights and limited edition prints.
