Well what would that be? To be a designer, are we hoping to make the world a better place? Are we striving to make our mark on the world, or is it just about doing something that's fun to do? Does it stay fun or can it get deadly serious? Is it about ego or acting like an ogre?
Well it might not be the meaning of life we're looking for here, but for some it feels as though sometimes it doesn't fall far short. So this issue takes a look at the whys and wherefores. What makes a designer design, and when the design bug gets into the system, what it drives you to do and be.
