Honest Magazine is a quarterly publication of recipes, tutorials and city guides centered around a yearly theme. Past themes have included: Seasons (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring), and places (Italy, Spain, Norway, France). Recipes range from rock-solid traditional to modern interpretations and from basic to complex in difficulty. Honest Magazine is created and published by Food & Travel Photographer, Shannon Oslick.

The very first Honest Magazine issue, Summer Fare takes a classic approach to the beauty and flavor of summer. The height of harvest makes for endless possibilities. Here we choose to focus on a few of our favorite classics, Slow-Roasted Tomatoes with Basil and Vodka-Thyme Lemonade highlight the height of flavor in a summer ingredient in it's prime, while Sizzling Shrimp and Mom's Blackberry Cobbler take advantage of the abundance of seasonal ingredients avaliable. Hand-drawn illustrations by Kathy Oslick compliment recipes throughout the issue.
